SailLink’s 2026 season has finished. Its published season normally runs from April to mid-September, subject to the sailing programme and weather. The operator is inviting interest in 2027; this guide does not treat a future timetable or seat as confirmed.
This small sailing service carries people and bicycles, not cars. Its Dover and Boulogne marina boarding points are separate from Dover Eastern Docks and Hibernia’s Le Portel terminal.
Confirm the physical boarding requirements and luggage allowance before booking a connection. Ordinary pets are not accepted. Discuss assistance-dog requirements directly with the operator rather than assuming automatic acceptance.

The Dover–Boulogne crossing uses a small sailing vessel carrying up to 12 passengers, with space for booked bicycles but no car or motorcycle deck. Allow about four to five hours at sea, subject to weather and the dated sailing programme.
The published April to mid-September season has ended for 2026. Check the release of the next programme before planning a journey: a route guide does not mean winter sailings are available. Leave flexibility in onward travel because weather can change the departure or passage.
