The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has linked the island with Great Britain and Ireland for more than 190 years. Its passenger network is centred on Douglas, with Heysham providing the principal year-round English connection and Liverpool, Larne and Dublin expanding the island’s Irish Sea links.

The modern passenger fleet combines the conventional flagship Manxman, the high-speed Manannan and veteran Ben-my-Chree. MV Arrow provides freight and resilience support. The mix matters because journey time, cabins, lounges, pet facilities and vehicle capacity differ substantially between vessels.

The 2026/27 programme is built around three principal passenger vessels: Manxman on the core Heysham service, Manannan on Liverpool, and Ben-my-Chree supporting an expanded Ireland programme including Dublin and Larne.
