When can I sail from Poole to Jersey?

DFDS lists Poole as a seasonal route, with an April 2027 restart planned. Look up Poole as your departure port for spring and check the return sailing separately, especially at the ends of the season. DFDS seasonal service notice.

For winter travel, compare the Portsmouth to Jersey ferry. Starting from Dorset means travelling to a different English port. Check both the road or rail connection to Portsmouth and the arrival time at St Helier before booking.

When Poole sailings operate, DFDS aims for a crossing of around 4 hours 30 minutes, depending on tides, berth availability and weather. The check-in window is separate from time at sea. Poole’s ferry terminal is in Hamworthy, across the water from the town centre. In Jersey the ferry uses the Elizabeth Terminal in St Helier. Arrange a pickup for the booked arrival and allow time to unload.
