The service is built around conventional passenger and vehicle ferries, making it especially useful for travellers who want to bring a car, motorcycle or motorhome to the islands. Several principal crossings operate overnight, allowing the sea journey to double as a night's travel.
The official Trasmed website also sells Barcelona–Porto Torres and Barcelona–Civitavecchia. Those are Grimaldi Lines-operated routes, not ordinary Trasmed Balearic services, so FerryEU keeps that distinction clear rather than folding them into Trasmed's direct route network.

The original FerryEU route map is retained as the approved visual asset. The current Trasmed-operated network should be read as mainland Spain–Balearics: Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza, plus connecting products to Formentera.

After choosing the most practical route, compare the live Trasmed sailing for departure time, calling pattern, passenger requirements and the facilities or accommodation shown for that service. The complete itinerary and arrival location can matter more than a small difference in the headline fare.
Trasmed does not currently operate the old North Africa network historically associated with Trasmediterránea. Do not confuse Trasmed with the former Armas Trasmediterránea business.
