La Méridionale is a long-established French Mediterranean ferry operator based in Marseille. Its current 2026 consumer site centres on three passenger corridors from Marseille: Ajaccio and Porto-Vecchio in southern Corsica, plus Tangier Med in Morocco.
The Corsica routes are overnight RoPax journeys built around private cabins, armchair accommodation, vehicle decks, restaurants and lounges. Piana is the flagship on Marseille–Ajaccio, while Girolata is promoted on Marseille–Porto-Vecchio.
The Morocco route is a distinctly longer travel product. Massalia joined the Marseille–Tangier Med programme in June 2025 and adds a large vehicle capacity, cabins, armchair lounges, catering, Wi-Fi and a prayer room. Vehicle and documentation rules are more extensive than on domestic France–Corsica travel.

Piana operates La Méridionale’s flagship Marseille–Ajaccio route. The standard product is an overnight crossing of about 12 hours, with selected summer 2026 daytime sailings also published.
Girolata links Marseille directly with Porto-Vecchio in southern Corsica. The operator publishes an overnight crossing of approximately 14 hours.
