Arriving or departing by ferry
Koper Ferry Terminal
This local boat is best used for coastal sightseeing and point-to-point travel within Slovenian Istria. For international ferry journeys, compare the wider Upper Adriatic network and confirm the actual departure port before booking.
The 2026 coastal service runs between Ankaran, Koper, Izola and Piran from 6 July to 27 August on operating days, with Koper boarding at the outer edge of the parking area at Ukmarjev trg. Bicycles can also be carried subject to the service rules.
Koper does not currently have a regular international passenger-and-car ferry comparable with major Adriatic ferry ports. Its scheduled sea link in summer 2026 is the local Zlatoperka passenger boat along the Slovenian coast.
